2-year-old dies after accident in Deeside

A two-year-old boy has died after being involved in an accident with property in Garden City.

Ambulance workers called police to Deeside’s home shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday (August 14).

North Wales Police confirmed that the child was taken to a hospital in Chester by ambulance staff and later taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, where they died yesterday evening (16 August).

Police are currently treating the death as unexplained, and say they are working with partner agencies to “investigate the circumstances of the incident.”

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “Police were called shortly after 10pm on Saturday (14/8) by ambulance colleagues, in an incident involving a two-year-old on a property in Garden City, Deeside.

Ambulance staff took the child to a hospital in Chester and later to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, where they died yesterday evening.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and we are working with partner agencies to investigate the circumstances of the accident,” he added.
