Jeffrey Town – A 3.1 magnitude earthquake was reported near the town of Jeffrey around 10:19 p.m. on August 16.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the recorded earthquake occurred about 20 miles northeast of the city of Jeffrey and 111 miles from Rock Springs.
As of 10:30 a.m. on August 17, only one person reported to the USGS that they felt the earthquake. Did you feel it? If so, the USGS would like to know.
