Liverpool are hoping for a £40m target after asking to leave their club, Harry Kane has called up Daniel Levy for his lack of promises, while transfer rumors on Wednesday contain news of one in, one out at Arsenal.
Ismail Sarr returns to the Liverpool agenda
A report has claimed that Liverpool’s hopes of adding Ismaila Sarr to his attacking options have seen a major revival.
The Reds have long been interested in the £40m-ranked striker and came close to signing him last summer. However, with Watford firm on the asking price, Liverpool opted instead for Diogo Jota.
But their interest in Sarr never gave up, and now the Daily Express has indicated they are ready to launch a new approach.
In fact, they claim the Senegal star has now asked to leave the Hornets amid talk of a new £40m bid from Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp is desperate to bolster his attacking options this summer to ensure they do not fall behind in the title race.
Sarr was in great shape this weekend as Watford triumphantly returned to the Premier League. Matt Targett gave a tough time as he beat Aston Villa 3-2.
However, the article claims that Liverpool will only be able to fund the move if they can first offload players first.
The Reds are looking to sell both Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi to free up the money.
Shaqiri is known to be close to moving to Lyon for around £8m. In the meantime, Origi will receive a fee of around £12m, with a number of Premier League teams considering moves.
