A boy died after falling from a hotel window in Sheffield.
Paramedics raced to the Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel on Blonk Street at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.
But they were tragically unable to save the boy who died this afternoon.
His family is supported by specially trained officers.
The NCP car park is currently closed and the public is asked to avoid the area.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: ‘We are sorry to share that a child has sadly died after falling from a building in Sheffield this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel in Blonk Street, Sheffield at approximately 2:30 p.m. today (August 18) after reports of the boy falling out of a window.
The boy’s family is supported by specially trained officers. No official identity has been established yet.
