Ronaldo issues a statement about “disrespectful” rumors
Cristiano Ronaldo said he was subjected to disrespectful transfer rumors linking him away from Juventus as he issued a strong statement to make his position clear.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City have been closely linked to Ronaldo’s moves, although it is unlikely that either club will attempt to sign the 36-year-old.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was forced to publicly deny that his team were interested in re-signing Ronaldo on Tuesday, and the Portuguese forward later took to Instagram to determine his position.
Referring to his links with Real Madrid and “a number of clubs in many different leagues”, Ronaldo sought to stress that any recent speculation about his future was untrue.
he wrote:
“Anyone who knows me knows how focused I am on my work. This has been my guiding motto since the beginning of my career.
“However, in light of all that has been said and written recently, I must make my position clear.”
