Scarlett Johansson gives birth to her first child with husband Colin Jost

Scarlett Johansson has welcomed her second child.

The actress’ rep confirmed the happy news to People magazine, saying that she gave birth “recently.”

The baby is her first with husband Colin Jost, whom she married in October last year, and is already the mother of six-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy, who she shares with ex-French journalist husband Romain Dauriac.

Colin later confirmed that they had a son, whom they named Cosmo.

Rumors that Scarlett, 36, was pregnant for the first time began in early July, when she skipped several events for her Marvel Black Widow movie.

When she appeared on The Tonight Show chatting with Jimmy Fallon in June, she was only photographed from the shoulders up.

She was later photographed doing the same when she appeared on TV again, this time on The Seth Meyers Show.

A source told Page Six in July: “Scarlett is pregnant but she’s keeping it calm. She’s been pretty low profile.”

The source continued, “She hasn’t done many interviews or events to promote Black Widow which is surprising because it’s a huge Marvel/Disney release and she’s the star and executive producer.”

Just last weekend, Colin said the couple is “excited” to be parents together.

Looks like it was finally confirmation of Scarlett’s pregnancy.

He made the comments at a pose at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut in the US over the weekend.

“Having a baby, it’s exciting,” he said, according to Page Six.

Scarlett and Colin got married in a simple ceremony at her home in New York in October of last year.

She was previously married to Roman from 2014 to 2017 and Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011.

She had said she wanted to have an intimate party, which has been curtailed due to coronavirus restrictions.

“I think just keeping it intimate and young made it feel meant to be,” she told People magazine of the party.

“We wanted it to feel like it was having an intentional intimacy rather than something that we felt restricted to all of these things.”
