Martin Odegaard sent a cushioned shot to his former club Real Madrid after joining Arsenal on a permanent basis on Friday.
The Norwegian has been confirmed as a permanent Arsenal player, signing a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium after his successful loan spell in north London last term.
The move to Arsenal ends a six-year spell with Real Madrid after he joined the Spanish teen giants in 2015 from boyhood club Stromsgodst.
While the 22-year-old was grateful to Los Blancos for allowing him to realize his aspirations and dreams, Odegaard appeared to take a big look at his criticism of the transfer options in an emotional statement released via his official Instagram account.

He said: “Over 6.5 years ago I signed at Real Madrid and fulfilled a big dream.
“To be able to wear the white shirt, play at the Bernabeu and play in the Champions League with Madrid. I couldn’t be more proud. I came here when I was 16 and had the opportunity to learn from the best players in the world and from idols.
“I learned a lot and enjoyed the journey. I am grateful for everything that happened to me and everything I learned. I would like to thank all the people who helped me develop and grow in Madrid. Coaches, colleagues, physicists, people from the club and the fans. Thanks!

“People these days talk a lot about me and the reasons for my exit. I just want to say that almost everything they say is not the truth. It is a shame to me that the press says things that are not true, because a lot of people honestly believe that it is.
“I have my reasons, I know what the truth is and what happened and that’s why I think it’s best.”
