Arteta welcomes Odegaard back to Arsenal after permanent transfer
Arsenal are the Premier League’s biggest spenders in the transfer market so far, having already spent £129m, and there could be more arrivals in the future.
Arsenal secured the signing of Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid for £30m on Friday, while Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale is expected to join the club.
The duo will be joined by the likes of Ben White, Albert Sambi Lukonga and Nuno Tavares – who completed the moves earlier in the summer.
But pressured president Mikel Arteta does not appear to have finished the transfer market yet, with a number of other names being linked with a move to the Emirates.
With that in mind, here’s Mirror Football bringing you the latest Arsenal transfer news…

The battle is set to intensify over Houssem Aouar, with Arsenal facing Tottenham’s rivalry for the Lyon playmaker.
Arsenal have been linked with the Frenchman all summer but face stiff competition from north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for his signature.
The Lyon star, who is rated at £37.8m as reported by football.london, may be about to leave this summer and the proposed deal could be transferred directly, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The third candidate for Arsenal to be relegated to the first division With the odds dropping before facing Chelsea, Arsenal legend David Seaman sees similarities between himself and Aaron Ramsdale.
Speaking on Don Robbie’s YouTube channel, he said both Premier League teams are “really interested” in signing Aouar this summer, despite Odegaard’s control of Arsenal.
It is also reported that Tottenham sporting director Fabio Barracci was keen on Aouar in his previous role at Juventus before they opted to sign Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina.
With less than two weeks left before the August 31 deadline, it is believed that Aouar’s future may not be decided until the end of the transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly trying to offload Brazilian midfielder Willian before the transfer window closes on August 31.
In the same transitional video, Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that Arsenal were “working hard” to find a solution for the Brazilian – who had been looking for a way out of the club since May.
The 33-year-old suffered a failed spell at Emirates after his free transfer from London rivals Chelsea last summer.
However, Willian could prove difficult to change, with two years remaining on his current £100.00-a-week deal he signed in September 2020.
Barcelona right-back insisted on staying in Emerson Royal’s position insisted he is happy at Barcelona
Emerson Royal said he is very happy at Barcelona amid reports linking the right-back with a move to the Emirates.
Athletic have suggested the 22-year-old could be involved in a swap deal that would see Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin return to Barcelona.
However, Emerson distanced himself from the speculation in a recent interview with Spanish media outlet Sport.
“When I was asked about my future,” he said, “I told the truth.”
“I respected Betis and worked to help the club, but I couldn’t lie [about my ambitions]. I always wanted to play for Barcelona, and that was my main goal.
“The other teams showed interest when my contract expired, but I didn’t want to know more about them.
“I was sure I wanted to be here, and I’m very happy that I achieved my goal.”
