A grandmother from Kent sets foot on the “unbearable” grass and weeds that are sweeping her garden.

Angie Ryan, 60, says the fast-growing plants crawl over her fence like a “huge blanket.”

No matter how much you pierce it away, she keeps coming back, shoving her own fence and “choking” her flowers, including the rose planted in memory of her father.

Angie, who lives with her 80-year-old mother in Tunbridge Wells, has called her housing association since June 3 to put an end to the invasive plants.

But she says the Hyde Group is sitting on their hands and letting her deal with the problem.

She told Kent and the Sussex Courier: ‘I have no idea why they haven’t come out. I think they see my number appear on the phone and ignore it. Tar weed appears like a huge blanket – it rises and repeats.

You can see it is moving forward and forward. I do what I can to keep it organized, but now I hope we can take things further, see something get done and end this nightmare once and for all.

Angie says the vegetation comes from a strip of land between her house and some new homes.

She called the patch “The Void” and says it has become a “waste land” including the old sofas.

Angie fell off her wall and into a driveway next to her house trying to cut the weeds, but says her “only her pride” hurt.

She said yesterday morning that someone had been sent to cut the vegetation, but added that “it was not done at a satisfactory level.”

Jane Cox, Head of Housing for Real Estate Services in Hyde, told Metro.co.uk: “I would like to apologize to Mrs. Ryan for any inconvenience this may have caused me. This area is a forbidden area between two houses.

Therefore, we do not perform routine and regular maintenance of floors. We clean the area when we realize it needs to be disinfected.

However, I can confirm that we made it clear on August 18th. In the future we will monitor it to make sure that weeds and weeds do not get out of control.
