Mark Laurenson agrees with Michael Owen on Wolves and Tottenham predictions

Wolves are back in the Premier League this weekend as fans return to Molineux for the first time in over a year.

Bruno Lage’s side meet Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, a match that will see former coach Nuno Espirito Santo return to the Midlands for the first time since leaving the club in the summer.

Wolves will be looking to beat their former boss as well as recover from the opening day defeat to Leicester City.

While Wolverhampton were at the end of the 1-0 loss, Tottenham beat Man City 1-0 in their last league match.

But Tottenham fell to a midweek defeat to Pacos de Ferreira in a Europa League playoff.

Before the match, BBC analyst Mark Lawrence gave his predictions and supported Wolves to take something from the game.

He told BBC Sport: “This is an early return to Molino for Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo and I think his old team will cause a few problems in his new team.”

“Wolves lost at Leicester last time, but I thought they played well and created some chances. The big news was Raul Jimenez back after a serious injury, and it was great to see him.

“Tottenham got a great win over Manchester City but let’s see how they proceed. This game is a very different test that will tell us a lot about where they are.”

Former Premier League striker Michael Owen agrees with fellow critics.
