Piers Morgan decided to make fun of the Duchess of Sussex again this week as he received a National Television Award nomination. He has described Meghan as “Princess Pinocchio” – something he once called “Princess Pinocchio”. He tweeted: “My greatest pleasure is to finally be nominated for TV Presenter of the Year in NTAs – although it might just be tad #awks for ITV if I win for my GMB job.
“You may have to pull Brando and send Princess Pinocchio to pick it up on my behalf…”
Pierce has been a regular critic of Meghan, but his repeated attempts to humiliate the duchess were met with condemnation in May.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter posted a meme on Instagram, suggesting Meghan could be attracted to newly single Bill Gates.
Pierce shared a photo of Meghan smiling to herself with a text that read: “So Bill Gates just divorced.” The text was also accompanied by a financial emoji.
However, Pierce received criticism for the post from a number of social media users.
Someone said, “You’re obsessed with it. Weird!”
Another added, “She lives in your head without rent.”
A third commented, “Oh my God, do you spend every waking hour thinking about it?
Two months earlier, Pierce left Good Morning Britain after refusing to apologize for comments he made about Meghan and her mental health.
During the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan said she had had a hard time as part of the royal family, revealing at one point that she felt she “didn’t want to be alive anymore”.

After Pierce said he “didn’t believe a word” the duchess said, ITV received a record number of Ofcom complaints.
Once Pierce Good Morning left Britain, an ITV spokesperson said: “After discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided it is time for Good Morning to leave Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has no Another thing to add.”
Among the people who have complained to ITV about Pierce’s comments is Meghan herself, as reported by The Guardian and The Telegraph.
After his discharge, Pierce said he reversed his opinion on Oprah’s interview and still doesn’t believe Meghan, adding that “freedom of speech is a mound I’d be glad to die on.”
He added, “Thank you for all the love and hate. I’m going to spend more time with my opinions.”
Jeremy Clarkson fought in class during a new show on ITV in April.

Clarkson mocked the Duchess of Sussex, joking that Piers Morgan “has a point” after leaving Britain for a good morning.
In It’s Clarkson on TV, he referenced the Duchess’ interview with Oprah Winfrey.
He said: “There was a moment when Meghan Markle – how politely can I put this – seemed to break in the wind.”
The program showed a clip of Meghan discussing a time after her marriage to Prince Harry and Oprah responded.
Clarkson added: “Sorry, can we hear that again because it really does seem like Piers Morgan had a point, her pants were already on fire.
“Now I have a note here from ITV’s legal department. They want to make it clear that it wasn’t a fart, and I have no idea how they knew it.”
“But they want me to point out that the noise of the wind may have come out of Oprah’s mouth.”
