Chelsea legend John Terry impressed Emile Smith Rowe in Arsenal’s defeat to Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Reece James were enough to secure three points for Thomas Tuchel’s side as Mikel Arteta came under more pressure from Arsenal fans.
Although most of the fans were supportive that day, taunts could be heard at half-time and full-time as the struggling Arsenal side headed to the changing rooms.
New signing Albert Sambi Lokonga, as well as Smith Rowe, were two shining lights on Arsenal’s disappointing afternoon, the latter earning acclaim from the best defender in Blues history.
“EmileSmithRowe is a player,” Terry said on Instagram.

However, his performances weren’t enough to help Arsenal score against a dominant Chelsea side, and with Manchester City retaining the Premier League title, it looks like Arsenal could slip to three defeats in three ahead of their first international game. Season break.
When asked how the club would prepare for that match in its post-match press conference, Arteta said:[I will]Try to give them the confidence, the tools and the belief that football changes very quickly. The league schedule will not be decided in August.
