Love Island 2021 winners have been announced as Millie Court and Liam Reardon.

The pair – who were the favorites to win the competition – beat fellow finalists Chloe Burroughs and Toby Arumolaran to win the £50,000 prize.

After the outcome was revealed, the couple had to decide whether to hold on to the money or split it.

Millie was the lucky recipient of the envelope containing the cash – but she split it with her beau, meaning they got £25,000 each.

Teddy Soares and Faye Winter finished third during the final of the live series, which aired Monday night, while Kaz Kamui and Tyler Cruikshank finished fourth, presenter Laura Whitmore revealed.

The finalists read declarations of love to each other during their last night at Villa Mallorca.

Liam spoke about his first “private” kiss with Millie – before apologizing for flirting with Lily Hines during a visit to rival villa, Casa Amor.

He said, “Then I was challenged and thrown in my way and I was so sorry for what I did. Seeing you in a daze and I don’t want to see you that way again.”

Toby used his talk to ask Chloe to be his girlfriend.

2019 Love Island winner Amber Gill praised Toby for using his ad to confirm their relationship.

She wrote on Twitter: “Who would have thought Toby would ask for the best way out of everyone!”

The final was hosted in the garden of the Love Island villa – where more than 40 islanders tried to find romance.

Couples were woken up by a text message on their last morning revealing that they would be taking part in a salsa dance class.

In a second letter, they learned how the contestants would leave the villa to visit a spa – while their male counterparts wrote declarations of dedication.

Later, the men wore black tie for a summer party in the garden of the villa – before the women arrived one by one and the group enjoyed a ceremonial glass of champagne to celebrate the last evening.

The final aired as Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish – paired since the first episode of the series – gave up their place in the final after calling up time for their romance and leaving the villa.
