Tottenham figures available if Fabio Paratici completes £34m Adama Traore transfer

Tottenham brought three new players to the club this summer but are still linked with further reinforcements.

Fabio Paratici has been making his magic by bringing in Pierluigi Giulini (on loan), Brian Gill and Christian Romero so far, but is looking to add a new fourth player to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad before the August 31 deadline.

Adama Traore of Wolves is getting interest from Tottenham, and Paratici is doing his best to seal a deal this month.

According to Diario AS, Midlands have put a €40m (£34.2m) price tag on the winger, with Daniel Levy reportedly intent on making a bid within that region.

It is possible that Traore, who starred in Sunday’s clash between Wolverhampton and Tottenham, is preparing for a reunion with Tottenham coach Espirito Santo in the coming days.

Spurs supporters will be keen to know what shirt number the Spain international will wear should he move to north London, and the London soccer team has taken a look at the numbers available at the moment.

The numbers nine, 12, 16, 21, 26, 30, 31, 32, 34, 35, 36 and 37 are all available at the time of writing – which could be good news for Traore.

Currently, Traore is wearing the number 37 for Wolves and if he moves to Tottenham Hotspur, he will be able to take the number again.

Tottenham manager Espirito Santo described Traore as “unique” when asked about his former winger after Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Molino at the weekend.

He said after the match: “I think Wolverhampton have a very good team and created huge problems for us, big, big problems.

“One of those was Adama. Everyone knows Adama is unique and it’s very hard to stop.”
