Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s future at the club is uncertain after a poor start to the 2021/22 season.
Arsenal have yet to score a single point from their first two games of the season – losing 2-0 to newly promoted Brentford and, most recently, Chelsea.
This poor start to the Premier League campaign has added to the pressure on Arteta, whose job has been called into question as the season rolled on, with some fans expressing their frustration with the coach via social media.
In recent days, former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who looked set to take over as Tottenham boss before Nuno Espirito Santo was appointed earlier in the summer, has been linked with Arsenal.

Now, former England striker Darren Bent has made it clear what Arsenal must do if they want to convince the Italian coach to take charge at the Emirates Stadium.
Bent highlighted the importance of allowing him freedom in the transfer window so he can build his own team.
“It’s not really about projects, he usually stays for two years and then ends up falling out with someone and leaving,” Bent told talkSPORT.
“But he is usually very successful in these two years. Arsenal will have to change his entire project in terms of giving him full power, because that is what he wants.

“He wants to sign the players he wants to sign. It’s about winning at the moment. You look at the players he signed with Inter Milan, Ashley Young, an older player, Victor Moses.
“The signatures I questioned but when I saw how they played in his team I was like: ‘I understand that.
“For me, he’s one of the best coaches in the world. If Arsenal can get him, he’s great.
“But I can’t see him coming to Arsenal, especially with the situation the club is in at the moment.”
Conte recently led Inter Milan to the Serie A title last season, but reports indicated that a row with the club’s board of directors forced him to resign.

After that, the former Chelsea boss was set to take over at Spurs, but the two sides failed to agree a deal and the North London club eventually looked elsewhere before eventually appointing Espirito Santo.
Should Arteta leave Arsenal, Conte would certainly be a smart date from the north London club, but as Bennett mentioned, there may be some hurdles to overcome in the negotiations.
