Zuma agrees to personal terms with West Ham, set for treatment in a €30m transfer

Chelsea and West Ham United reportedly reached a verbal agreement over the terms of Kurt Zouma’s potential transfer yesterday, and now, according to TF1, an agreement has been reached on personal terms as well.

Zuma has agreed to join the Hammers on a five-year deal and is due to undergo a medical possibly as soon as tomorrow. While some reports are a little less confident, most agree that such a transfer now appears imminent.

The fee, according to the oral agreement, should be in the range of €30m (£25m), although FootMercato notes that €4m of that amount is actually linked to add-ons and bonuses.

Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in signing Zuma, but they pulled out, partly because they couldn’t offload Davinson Sanchez, but mostly because it would be ridiculous on our part to deal with them.

Following the conclusion of Zuma’s departure, Chelsea are expected to make an official offer to Jules Conde. The 22-year-old’s transfer appears to remain a priority thanks to Antonio Rudiger’s uncertain future at the club after this season, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all said to be interested in his services.
