James Martin, 49, paid his respects to today’s Adrian Hamilton, who was a “personality” in the world of classic cars and sold luxury chef cars. This morning’s star mourned his late boyfriend when he touched the social media posts, saying “they don’t make it” like Adrien anymore.

With 706,000 followers, James said on Twitter: “Unfortunately the automotive world has lost a giant. We are honored to have known, drank and purchased from Adrian Hamilton over the years.

“They don’t make them such a sweet boy anymore. RIP buddy,” he added.

Another follower spoke in more detail about the circumstances of Adrian’s death, revealing that he suffered from a “short illness”.

They wrote: “Very sad to learn that Adrian Hamilton has passed away after a short illness.

“He has always been good company and great support for the 25 years I have known him. He once gave me the key to his priceless Le Mans 53-winning Jaguar C… Thoughts and condolences to his family.”

A separate Twitter user also recalled fond memories of meeting the car dealer.

They wrote: “This is tragic news too. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the age of 13 as I drew his father, Duncan, twice on my BRDC Young Artist Award winning tablet in ’95.”

“It was over the moon that I chose to paint. Rip.”

James is a big fan of classic cars. In fact, the famous chef owns 15 of them.

The star previously organized a Supercar Sunday event in Manchester where he brought with him some of his favorite cars including his 1965 350 Shelby Mustang, 1965 Ferrari 275, 1972 Ferrari Dino, 1972 Ferrari Daytona, 1991 Ferrari Testrosa and his 1953 Ford.

He’s previously said he’d rather add to his car collection than have kids.

Although James is in a relationship with Louise Davis and says he is happier than he’s ever been in his life, he believes his money is better spent on maintaining current items or future investments for the group.

When asked in a 2018 interview if he was considering having children, he simply answered, “No.”

“I go to the house of my boyfriend, who has four kids, and realize I don’t want them after about two minutes,” he told the Daily Mail.

“Children are great, but it’s not, not to me. You sacrifice so much in this business and the job and everything else. Never not.”

James added that cars are his “children” and that he is focusing all his energy on them.
