Welcome to the Football.london live blog for news and transfers.
Arsenal lost their opening game 2-0, falling to newly promoted Brentford in the opening weekend before easily losing to London rivals Chelsea by the same scoreline in the Emirates on Sunday.
Manager Edu has already signed five players this summer, raising £130m – more than any other Premier League side – on Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lukunga, Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale.
football.london understands that the club also wants to add a sixth before the end of the transfer window on August 31, with the right-back and midfielder being seen as in need of reinforcement.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also looking to offload a number of marginal players before deadline day. Lucas Torreira is expected to complete a loan – which includes a commitment to buy – moving to Fiorentina, while Willian, Sid Kolasinac and Hector Bellerin remain linked with a move away from north London.
Stay connected all day so you never miss a development.
