Police have found a man wanted in connection with two murders in Westminster after nearly a week of searching.

Officers are “confident” they spotted Lee Peacock, 49, on a canal barge near Fairymaid Street in Ealing, west London, just before 6pm on Wednesday. He was seriously injured, believed to be from his own injury.

London Ambulance Service paramedics and London Air Ambulance were called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital where his condition is believed to be life-threatening.

The force added that the Directorate of Professional Standards in Mitt has been informed, and the Independent Office of Police Conduct indicated that it would conduct an independent investigation into the incident.

The deaths of Sharon Pickles, 45, and Clinton Ashmore, 59, with fatal stab wounds were discovered at separate locations last Thursday and early Friday, with police treating the deaths as linked.

Emergency services were called to Ashbridge Street in Westminster shortly after 9:30pm on Thursday after concerns were raised about the welfare of people inside the property.

A 45-year-old woman, later identified as Mrs. Pickles, was found with a knife and pronounced dead at the scene.

At 2.15 a.m. Friday, police were then alerted to reports of a man being hit with a knife at a property in Jerome Crescent, about half a mile away.

Paramedics confirmed that a 59-year-old man, later confirmed to be Mr. Ashmore, had died.

On Tuesday, police released CCTV images of Tawoos, whom they wanted to talk to in connection with the two murders.

Peacock was seen at North Wembley station on the evening of August 19 – hours before Pickles and Mr. Ashmore were murdered.

Mitt Police said investigators believe the 49-year-old suspect knows both victims.

The force also offered a reward of £20,000 for any information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for the murders.

Chief Detective Inspector Wayne Jolly, of the Met Specialized Crime Command, said Tuesday that his thoughts were with the families of the victims.

“This is a horrific crime and we will not rest until we bring the person or people responsible for it to justice,” he said.

Asked if the peacock was being treated as dangerous, a Met Police spokesperson said the murders were not being treated as random.
