A 37-year-old has been accused of deliberately contaminating or interfering with merchandise at three supermarkets in west London.

Louay El Gharib, of Crabtree Lane, Fulham, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Officers in forensic suits were seen at three stores – Tesco Express, Little Waitrose and Sainsbury’s Local – on Fulham Palace Street on Thursday after the events on Wednesday night.

Hammersmith and Fulham Council advised shoppers to throw away anything purchased from the three stores late Wednesday.
