Matt Western, a local Labor MP, said he had heard the fire might involve chemicals from a plastics trading unit.
He later tweeted: “The factory fire on Juno Drive shook Lymington to its core. The scale of the fire is staggering.”
“I have spoken with police and fire chiefs who are becoming increasingly confident that it is contained. Please adhere to the guidelines.”
The West Midlands Ambulance Service said it had two paramedics and a hazardous area response team at the scene, but there were no injuries at the moment.
A massive fire at South Leamington Spa, getting wider every minute. Helicopters are flying and you can hear explosions now. This view is from Warwick Street, near the fire station so looks like it could be around the train station. Prayer does not harm anyone. Hahahahahahahaha pic.twitter.com/LhuW03YmxU
