Arsenal travel to Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as Arsenal look to claim their first league win of the new season.

Arsenal have not won against City in the league since December 2015, when they won 2-1 at home to the Emirates after goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud were enough to get the three points.

Arsenal have not achieved a Premier League win from their first two matches, but they entered the weekend after defeating West Bromwich in the Carabao Cup 6-0 on Wednesday night.

So, what squads will the two teams choose to face the Premier League on Saturday? And what could the end result be?

We used FIFA 21 to get a prediction for the score of Manchester City vs Arsenal on Saturday and this is what happened…

The result of the Manchester City vs Arsenal match predicted by the FIFA 21 simulator

We used the kick-off mode in FIFA 21, but didn’t choose a team to control, then chose the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us the score prediction.

Because FIFA 22 has yet to be released with updated kits and transfers, we used the in-game club transfer system in FIFA 21 to update City and Arsenal teams with the latest transfers from August 26, 2021, but unfortunately the kits are still from last season.

We expect Arsenal to be able to form a 4-2-3-1 formation as follows: Leno; Chambers, White; Holding, Tierney; Lokonga, Xhaka, Saka, Odegaard, and Smith Rowe; Aubameyang.

We expect Arsenal to be able to form a 4-2-3-1 formation as follows: Leno; Chambers, White; Holding, Tierney; Lokonga, Xhaka, Saka, Odegaard, and Smith Rowe; Aubameyang.

We expect that Manchester City can form a 4-3-3 formation, with their formation as follows: Ederson; Walker, Dias; Laporte, Cancelo; Rodri, Silva, Gundogan; Mahrez, Sterling, Grealish.

City started the game strong and dominated possession and put the visitors under a lot of pressure in the first five minutes of the match.

This early pressure paid off on the hosts as Raheem Sterling opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a fine finish in the lower left corner.

The 26-year-old started the match with the striker who proved to be a clever decision by Guardiola, as Gundogan flicked the ball at Sterling’s feet, as Ben White failed to intercept the ball as Sterling drifted into the area and fired the ball past Bernd. Leno at Arsenal Network.

Raheem Sterling scores to make it 1-0 against Manchester City.

Arsenal’s poor start saw them struggle to regain a foothold in the match, as striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggled to enter the match due to City’s high pressure that proved difficult to beat.

The second half started in the same manner as the first, as Grealish pulled the strings from the left wing, creating chances for both Sterling and Mahrez in the first 10 minutes after the break.

Sterling was later replaced by Gabriel Jesus, with the Brazilian threatening to add a second goal of late as Arsenal managed to stay in the match but were unable to score a single shot on target, with City’s defense remaining steady.

Despite Arsenal’s attempts to find an equaliser, City’s dominance proved too much for Arteta’s side on this occasion, as Arsenal failed to win any of their first three Premier League games.
