Hello and welcome to the Arsenal Blog Live on Monday.
The Gunners have only two days to complete any last-minute signings with the transfer window closing at 11pm tomorrow.
Edu has added five players to his squad this summer, with Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lukunga, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard joining the north London club in recent weeks for £132m.
The Brazilian has also managed to shed the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, Joe Willock and Lucas Torreira with Willian also close to a permanent exit from Corinthians after agreeing to end his contract with Arsenal two years ago.
With that being said, be sure to join us throughout the day on every update as Arsenal look to boost their squad after a poor start to the Premier League season.

Trippier Boost
Arsenal got a boost in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier after Lille defender Zeki Celik’s agent confirmed Atleti were interested in his client.
“It is true that Atletico are interested in Zeki Çelik, there is a proposal. We are evaluating it,” he told Haber Global via Transfrmarketweb.
Selleck’s joining the Spanish giants could mean Trippier will be available on the day of the transfer deadline, which would be great news for Arsenal as they chase the right-back in the closing hours of the transfer window.

bitmap update
Former Arsenal icon Patrick Vieira has reduced his list of strikers to just two players, with Eddie Nketiah one of whom was identified by the Guardian.
The report claims that Nketiah, who has only 10 months left on his current contract with the club, has been joined by Celtic Oddson Edward as the two leading players targeted by Vieira.

Edwards to leave the role
Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards is set to leave his role at Anfield, according to the Athletic.
The transfer chief is credited with clever signings with the likes of Andy Robertson, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in recent years.
This could be a big boost for the Gunners, who are unhappy with their current head coach Edu, according to some reports.

Arteta rule
Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke is set to give Mikel Arteta more time as Arsenal manager, according to Goal.
The report claims he does not want more staff changes at Emirates Stadium after former coach Unai Emery left the club just 21 months ago.
However, the American billionaire is believed to have a limit, and he is likely to fire Arteta if the results remain the same in the coming weeks.

Feyenoord wants Nelson
Dutch side Feyenoord have expressed interest in signing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson on loan, according to The Metro.
The Eredivisie side was thought to be interested in signing Manchester United’s Amad Diallo on a temporary basis, but the Ivorian player sustained an injury in training, meaning Nelson is now on their radar.

mower tears in Xhaka
England star Alan Shearer has expressed his regret for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka after the Swiss captain was sent off during Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday.
“Those are 11 red cards in his career now. You can’t justify this. All he said to his teammates was ‘sorry guys, I can’t imagine this day’,” Shearer told BBC Match of the Day.
“I don’t know who he’s trying to impress. You can’t tackle (like this). We all know the laws, you can’t go in like that. He puts his opponent in danger. He’s out of control. It’s the right decision. It’s a red card.”

Close deal
Willian will become a Corinthians player before Tuesday’s deadline after pulling out of his contract with Arsenal, football.london understands.
Arsenal were unable to attract suitors to the Brazilian midfielder this summer due to his colossal wages.
Sources close to Willian insist the Brazilian “wants to do the right thing” and is set to “walk away” from his contract, with Arsenal potentially saving between £15-20m due to the early termination.

The 25-year-old striker is not guaranteed regular first-team football under new coach Carlo Ancelotti and is therefore considering his options.
