Fans flocked to Old Trafford on Friday to buy the new Cristiano Ronaldo 7 shirt from the club’s official megastore.
The official United Twitter account tweeted a 20-second video of a long line of supporters waiting to purchase their 2021/2022 replica sets.
The video clip shows one fan recreating Ronaldo’s famous Sii celebration, while another points to his right calf to show off his club crest tattoo.
The fans can be seen in the short clip not only in the home shirt this season but in the away and third jersey as well.
It was confirmed Thursday night that the summer signing will be able to wear the number 7 shirt he was famous for during his first spell at the club from 2003-2009.
Edinson Cavani was the former shirt holder but will switch to number 21, the number he wore when representing Uruguay, after Dan James left for Leeds United at the deadline.
Any fan who purchased this season’s jersey with the Cavani 7 on the back from United Direct or the Manchester United Megastore will be able to return it, subject to proof of purchase.
