ABBA fans are gearing up to launch the Swedish pop band’s new concert experience in Stratford, London, with tickets going on sale this week.

In a global announcement Thursday, the band announced their reunion with two new singles, concert performances, and a new album slated for release on November 5.

Fans were able to pre-register for tickets that are on sale today (September 6), while tickets for general sale go on sale tomorrow.

The Independent has previously been sent unseen (by Alan Schaller) for the purpose-built stadium in Stratford, London, where the concerts will take place from 27 May 2022 for a period of four years.

All four ABBA members will appear on stage digitally with a 10-piece troupe for performances.

Speaking of the reunion, ABBA said in a statement, “It’s been a long time since we’ve been making music together. Almost 40 years in fact. We took a break in the spring of 1982 and now we’ve decided it was time to end it. They say it’s more reckless to wait. From 40 years between albums, so we recorded a follow-up to the song “Visitors”.

“To tell the truth, the main inspiration for recording again comes from our co-creation of the strangest and most amazing concert you could ever dream of. We will be able to sit in the middle of the audience and watch our digital selves perform our songs on stage in a dedicated arena in London next spring. Weird and wonderful !

“To all of you who have patiently followed us in one way or another over the past decades: Thanks for waiting – it’s time to start a new journey.”
