A new report coming from a reputable source claims that, when it comes to things related to Apple, there may be some production issues with the new Apple Watch Series 7 that could cause the schedule to be delayed.
Perhaps the reason for this is the new, larger screen. When production issues arise, there are two possible outcomes – product announcement is delayed, launch date delayed or made available in limited quantities. Mark Gorman thinks it will be the second.
By tradition, the new Apple Watch Series 7 will get its fair share of spotlight during the iPhone 13 announcement, but the first units of the watch will start shipping later, possibly from October. There is also the option to delay only affected Apple Watch variants and make the rest available on schedule.
However, a belated announcement is highly unlikely, and Gorman says the first media invitations should start flying as soon as this week.
