Liverpool have been following the Leeds United star for half a decade, and the Whites made an offer for the Premier League title-winning midfielder

The Whites head into the game still looking for their first win in the Premier League, after two draws and a loss in their first three matches.

Critic and broadcaster Mark Lorenson wrote his BBC Weekly Predictions article, judging the Whites’ big game against the Reds, predicting the visiting team – their former team – would win 2-1.

Expanding on his selection, the 64-year-old said: “Leeds have been affected a little bit so far this season, but I think that’s it. I don’t see them struggling, put it that way.

“There are still a lot of positives about the way Marcelo Bielsa’s team plays, but it’s still easy to get to them and it’s something I thought they would change.

“That didn’t happen, which is why I’m going with Liverpool. The Reds will have a lot of chances in front of goal.”

Meanwhile, Lauro’s expected rival for this week, Vaccine forward Justin Young, backed the Reds to win 2-0, emphasizing: “This should be a good and open game but Liverpool should win it.”

The last time the Whites faced the Reds, in April, Bielsa’s side left it late to draw 1-1 at Island Road, with defender Diego Llorente’s £18m equalizer in the 87th minute to disallow Senegalese Sadio Mane’s first-half goal. .
