In dramatic scenes, four stars pulled out of Celebrity SAS tonight.

Three were injured, two required surgery, and one was injured enough.

Saira Khan continued to fight with her broken ankle for a day after she shocked him in a mud wrestling with Ulrika Johnson.

Saira, 51, says: “I never counted like her. I was in agony.”

She needed a metal plate with nine staples in it and it took her injury six months to heal.

Explaining her ordeal in Scotland, Sayra says, “I’ve been waving this flag to women in their fifties to go, ‘Don’t cross us off’.”

“There was a chip on my shoulder, like, ‘I’m not going to prove to you that women can’t go on if they feel pain. “F*** you, I’ll keep doing that!”.

“It was painful…but the adrenaline and the shock. Your body is taking over.”

She has previously hinted at legal issues with her accident but says everything was “resolved amicably”.

Saira added that the show was a “wake-up call” that inspired her to ditch the “loose woman” and allowed her to slow down and live a “richer life.”

Jake Quikkenden has been forced to pull out after his pectorals and biceps tore during a freak accident in a speedboat challenge.

The 33-year-old celebrity star’s arm went numb for 48 hours after he placed four pins to repair damage caused when he tried to transfer himself to a boat at sea.

“My muscles and biceps were torn, so the tendons were torn right out of the bone,” he explains. “I had to get them to mount to my shoulder. I have four pins in my shoulder now that they all go back into place.”

It took five months of rehab for Jake to recover.

Adding more injuries to all of Ant Middleton’s insults, former moto star Shanaze Reade broke her shoulder which meant her race at the show was turned on.

The 32-year-old was particularly upset because she is used to the injury.

“I was shocked about it because I don’t care to break bones and stuff for me,” she admits.

“It was a part of my life with racing. I felt like I changed for a little while because I was out due to the injury. I was completely burnt out.”

Former jungle queen Vicki Pattison admitted that she felt comfortable leaving the competition.

Presented with the oil barrel assignment, when runners carry something heavy up a hill in pairs, she admits she has a “terrible mindset.”

She said to herself, “I can’t do this anymore. My fat little body can’t handle it.”

“Immediately you cry, because you’re down on yourself. But then you talk to your loved ones, you take a shower, you look at your bruises, you feel absolutely relieved,” she says, crying.
