Tonight’s episode (September 12) of Channel 4’s reality show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins saw four contestants leave the course.

Former Loose Girls host Saira Khan, Jordi Shore Vicki Pattison, and former BMX contestant Shanaz Reid all left the cycle, leaving Strictly Come Dancing’s Alexandra Burke as the show’s sole contestant.

Khan injured her ankle in last week’s episode which she is still struggling with. When the group came together to climb mountains, in order to demonstrate teamwork skills, Khan decided to withdraw medically so as not to drag her partner down or hurt her ankle further.

Former Special Forces coach Anth Middleton said he thought it was a good choice for her to leave before hugging her and sending her on her way. Shanaze Reade broke her shoulder and therefore had to be medically pulled as well.

Later, with the team carrying 40kg barrels, Bateson admitted she “couldn’t go on” anymore and was relieved to voluntarily withdraw from the show.

During the team’s latest challenge, former X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden sustained an injury to his pectoral muscles and was therefore medically withdrawn, which he said was “disappointed” because he wanted to “get to the finish”.

The latest celebrities to leave the show follow Keri Katona after she voluntarily pulled out, and Ulrika Johnson, who pulled out medically last week.

Earlier in the episode, Pattison joked with her fellow contestants that the show sounded like “The Hunger Games are repeating” and then spoke aside about her regrets about having sex on TV during The Jordi Shore Show. She said, “I feel so sorry that most people know I had sex on TV. I always say you can’t be old and wise if you aren’t young and silly. I have classes that I don’t want to read aloud – and so is everyone else.”

Contestants Or Udupa, James Cracknell, Alexandra Burke, Aled Davis, Wes Nelson and Jason Orett are still on the show.
