Lost travel blogger Gabe Pettito is one of three people who went missing near the Grand Teton Park area this summer.

Her family reported the loss of the 22-year-old on September 11 after her fiancé, Brian Laundry, returned from the truck trip the couple had taken without her.

The couple traveled from New York to Salt Lake City, Utah, the last place Pettito was seen before she disappeared. After leaving Salt Lake City, the couple is believed to have driven to Wyoming.

In a phone call with her mother on August 25, Ms. Pettito said she was in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Her mother, Nicole Schmidt, said she received a text message from her daughter on August 30 saying, “No service in Yosemite.”

However, she has since said she does not believe her daughter sent the message, and authorities are treating Grand Teton National Park as the last confirmed location of Ms Pettito’s whereabouts.

While authorities there are searching for Ms Pettito, other travelers were reported missing there this summer, although authorities do not currently believe the disappearances are linked.

The New York Post reports that the first is Sian McLaughlin, 27, who was reported missing in June after he went for walks in the area. He was spotted on June 7 with a backpack hiking towards Lake Taggart, but despite numerous advice and helicopter searches in the area, he was never found.

The second person to have disappeared from the area this summer is Robert Lowery, 46, who was last seen on August 19 at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, while Bing called from his phone on August 23.

Police announced this weekend that they are also looking for Pettito’s fiancé Mr Londry, whom his family said they had not seen since last Tuesday. Mr. Laundry has so far failed to cooperate with the police investigating Pettito’s disappearance and has been named as a key person in the case.
