1632063514 Judge for Ronaldo and United

Full-time: West Ham 1-2 Man United

In all that chaos we didn’t notice, Ronaldo was denied a penalty when Zuma turned him over in the penalty area.

West Ham then stepped up the field and Shaw’s handball gave the hosts a chance to secure a tie but substitute Noble, who did not kick the ball throughout the match, was prevented from a penalty by De Gea diving.

This was in a match in which Lingard’s goal proved crucial as his drive from the left sank a team that played well last season while on loan.

Cracked soccer game with many twists.

1632063343 De Gea saves!!!

93 min: De Gea saved her! Noble comes in and his first kick of the match is a penalty awarded. What was Moyes and West Ham’s technical staff thinking in allowing the player to come in from the cold to take the decisive penalty?

That’s the full time Man United won it!

1632063224 Penalty in favor of West Ham!

93 minutes: In the last minute of extra time, West Ham were awarded a penalty. The ball is projected inward and hits Shaw’s outstretched arm. It is cruel but according to the texts of the law it is a punishment.

Noble comes on Bowen. Noble is about to take the penalty!

1632063050 Target! Astonishing Lingard silences the crowd

90 Minutes: Written in the Stars! Of course it is. He cost United a horrific comeback pass in the middle of the week but returned to the London Stadium and broke West Ham hearts with beauty.

Lingard is outside the box on the left when he receives the ball and cuts the ball before unleashing a hairpin that reaches the top corner before Fabianski can think of what to do.

It’s a beauty of purpose dripping with narrative. Lingard refuses to celebrate until he is encouraged by his teammates. He gives himself a smile as West Ham fans hold their heads in their hands.

1632062855 changes to both

88 minutes: Lanzini is on the cusp of Ben Rahma’s goal. Man United rotate defensive midfielders while Matic replaces Fred.

1632062707 Ronaldo falls again

85mins: CR7 descends into the box again, flapping his arms like one of those inflatable used car sales (you know those?) thanks to Zuma who kept Ronaldo mostly calm.

One wide angle cracks

81 minutes: Maguire tackles the corner with a header, but he returned with interest by Fornals, who shot it cleanly on the ball. But it is wide from the right upright.
