John Bolton warned that the Taliban might get their hands on nuclear weapons if the Islamists took control of Pakistan. Trump struck a peace deal with the Taliban that promised the United States would withdraw if the Taliban did not harbor terrorists or attack U.S. forces or allies. Speaking to US broadcaster WABC 770 on Sunday, Bolton said: “The Taliban’s control of Afghanistan threatens the possibility of terrorists taking control of Pakistan.
That means maybe 150 nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists.”
One-eyed Mullah Nur al-Din al-Turabi is among the senior officers in the Taliban, who could be willing to cash in on such an amount.
He is now in charge of the prison system in Afghanistan.
He issued a grim warning, noting that brutal executions and amputations would return to Afghanistan under the rule of the militants.
Speaking to The Associated Press, he said: “Everyone criticized us for the penalties on the field, but we didn’t say anything about their laws and penalties.
Nobody will tell us what our laws should be.
“We will follow Islam and we will make our own laws of the Qur’an.”
The Biden administration completed a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan on August 30.

Bolton served under President Donald Trump between April 2018 and September 2019.
Since Biden withdrew US forces, he has warned that the US president could “lose grip on the foreign policy of his administration”.
However, the US president blamed the chaos in Afghanistan on his predecessor, Donald Trump.
After the US left, the Taliban paraded dozens of US-made armored vehicles and weapons through Afghan cities.
In the southern city of Kandahar, a stronghold of the Taliban, the militant group carried out a flight of a Black Hawk helicopter.
The US-made helicopter raised the Taliban flag.
On the ground, in Kandahar, a long row of green Humvees and armored fighting vehicles rolled in a row along the road.
Former US vehicles are now raised in black and white Taliban flags.
Footage circulating on social media showed a helicopter hovering above the Taliban level behind it as fighters waved from below.
