The Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro launch event has been confirmed, and you’ll be able to watch the launch on Tuesday, October 19th.

This is when the company hosts the launch of Pixel Fall, as the event is officially called, which begins at 10AM PDT / 1PM EST / 6PM GMT (i.e. 4AM EST on October 20) . You will be able to watch the launch on the official Google website.

Unlike previous years, Google has already revealed the upcoming smartphone design and specifications, making it the first time we’ve officially heard everything we’ve been expecting about the company’s next flagship devices.

We do not yet know when the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will go on sale, but the leaks that predicted the October 19 event indicated that the phones will be on store shelves from October 28.

One of the biggest upgrades is likely to be the company’s new Tensor chipset, which Google has developed specifically for its Pixel products. Google typically uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, so we’re excited to see what the new Tensor technology can achieve.

The Google Pixel 6 is rumored to have a 6.4-inch flat screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 6 Pro is expected to have a 120Hz curved screen of either 6.67 inches or 6.71 inches.

Camera leaks indicate that the Pixel 6 Pro will have a 4x telephoto camera, while both phones will have a 50MP main camera and a 12MP wide camera.

Other leaks have suggested expecting 12GB of RAM on some Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro models, and possibly 512GB of storage.

We’ve also heard that there may be a 4,614 mAh battery in the Pixel 6 and 5,000 mAh in the Pixel 6 Pro.

Why Google has taken such a strange revelation about the Pixel 6 series is unclear. We even spotted the Pixel 6 on display in the company’s New York City store without much fanfare, plus there were TV commercials about the phone in Japan and the UK.

Be sure to come back to TechRadar on October 19th where we’ll have a live blog post all about the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
