Daniel Craig confirmed that he actually kissed Rami Malek while filming the new James Bond movie No Time to Die.
Malik, who plays primary villain Savin in the film, told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show that Craig had accepted him when he came up with a good idea for the movie.
“He caught me,” said he, “and took me–and I can’t tell who started the next moment, whether it was him or I–but a kiss appeared between us.” “I’ll say it was Daniel who started it, and I was very surprised.”
He added that the kiss was very welcome and that, at the time, Craig asked, “So, does that make me a Bond girl?”
Now, as the movie appears in cinemas, Craig and Malik have talked to Entertainment Weekly about the kiss.
“I kissed him, okay! I kiss a lot of people,” said Craig. “He’s like, ‘I’m a very friendly guy, and I’m not going to arrange anybody.’
“It would be horrible, horrible, to arrange the best kisses. I would just like… How many people can I offend? Terrible. Thousands upon thousands of people.”
He joked, “Listen, this story has Ramy kissing legs; I was just trying to give her more legs. I don’t know if it was on social media. I don’t have social media, but I said I was kissing Rami after the end of every scene. She Not a big deal. God Almighty. Just spread the love.”
Malik said sarcastically, “I was rushing through the scenes just to get to that moment when you’d be accepted.”
