Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service is now powered entirely by Xbox Series X.
The company told The Verge that it recently completed the upgrade, allowing for higher frame rates and lower load times.
However, the hardware still has to be fully utilized to produce a 4K stream, which means gamers will have to settle with 1080p streams at 60fps for the time being.
Microsoft recently expanded Xbox Cloud Gaming to Australia, Brazil, and Mexico, and it’s now available in more than 26 countries.
Microsoft is also bringing the service into the living room with dedicated smart TV apps that will allow gamers to stream games without a console. It is also said to be running on its own streaming device which it can connect to your TV or monitor.
The Xbox Cloud Gaming library is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which recently added the Scarlet Nexus to the list.
