Here’s why you should buy the LG C1 OLED before Black Friday this year

[ad_1]

The LG C1 OLED is one of the best TVs to buy right now and is undoubtedly on the shopping list for their many Black Friday TV deals this year.

This week, it also happens to be on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart for the lowest price ever too with discounts of up to $700 (that’s 28%) on the popular 65-inch model.

Other sizes are on sale too – all at their lowest prices ever – which begs the question, buy now and beat the crowds, or hold off for big payouts on Black Friday itself?

We’re very inclined to buy early at the moment – not only because we don’t expect those prices to drop that much on this year’s Black Friday TV deals, but also because there’s a neat Black Friday Price Guarantee on the Best Buy list right now. In short, this means that if there are any further discounts, the retailer will refund you the difference. This, along with concerns about stock and delivery dates, got us thinking – why bother waiting?

The LG C1 is the crown jewel of the company’s well-known line of OLED displays. It’s in that perfect area between performance and features without completely breaking the bank. This is of course still a huge investment, but the industry-leading picture quality, a set of HDMI 2.1 ports, and an excellent WebOS user interface mean it’s the best performing and well-proven in the future too.

It’s easily one of our favorites here at TechRadar, too. It’s been a staple in our 2021 Best TVs guide, and our LG C1 OLED review has already given it a five-star rating. It’s not perfect, of course. If we had to criticize, it would be because it lacks HDR10+ support and that its glass surface can be quite reflective at times. However, these are very minor quirks in an otherwise great product.

What we’re saying is that it’s a great TV and you should definitely at least consider this year’s Black Friday TV deals – if you can afford the hefty asking price.

Black Friday TV Deals: Our Expectations

Last year’s LG CX model saw some early price cuts, but it only breached its all-time low ($1,895 over 65) on Black Friday itself.

Black Friday has traditionally been the perfect time to tap TV. But this year we have seen a lot of turmoil in the market.

So far, TVs haven’t been affected too badly – it’s mostly graphics cards and phones that are feeling the pressure right now. However, that hasn’t stopped retailers from introducing their sales early this year to try to offset any anticipated delivery issues — and that includes great prices on TVs.

This week’s record-breaking prices at Amazon ($1,796 for 65 inches) were a really welcome surprise—we’ve seen plenty of early deals in the past year, but none have been this good. By comparison, last year’s LG CX saw some early price cuts, but it only breached its all-time low ($1,895 over 65) on Black Friday itself.

As far as these prices go down, we think it’s unlikely. A recent report from Adobe recently measured thousands of sales on products and came up with a prediction that the deepest discounts will range anywhere from 5% to 25%. Considering Amazon’s recent price cut of 28%, we can say that this week’s discount is probably the lowest you’ll get this year.

So, should you buy it now?

Seems to be a fairly safe bet – this week’s LG C1 OLED deals are the lowest we’ve seen so far on these amazing displays and we’re not expecting a dip. These early Black Friday TV deals are much better than those on last year’s LG CX model, plus Best Buy also has a Black Friday “price guarantee” on their listings right now, meaning you’ll get a refund if any happens. minimum.

You might want to wait—especially since no retailer of any size has officially sold out yet, but we say why bother? The 65-inch in particular is a very popular size this year, so it’s simply worth placing your order, beating the crowds, and sticking with that pricing guarantee in case the day drops in.
