The Rugby Football Union also announced that Joe Marler will join the group on Friday after completing his 10-day isolation period after testing positive for the coronavirus.

England are preparing to face South Africa for the first time since they suffered a 32-12 defeat in the 2019 World Cup Final in Yokohama.

Head coach Jones appointed a 34-man squad for the match, which concludes his team’s fall season after winning back-to-back wins over Tonga and Al Bab.

Singleton, 25, is back in the international ranks after winning three caps in 2019, including appearing as a substitute against the United States during the pool stage of the World Cup.

The 27-year-old Pro-Head joined Gloucester before the current season after starting his career with the London Irish.
