“It’s time to save Belgwater, Captain.” Honestly, with a name like Bilgewater, we feel like the city might be doomed to suffer beforehand – but in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, part of the popular League of Legends MMORPG, that’s your job.
Announced as a surprise release on Switch today, Ruined King is a turn-based RPG that was originally slated for early 2021.

The game will immerse players in LoL lore, allowing them to explore Runeterra across Bilgewater and Shadow Isles. With the addition of the Lane Initiative combat system, players will be able to strategize their approach to battles, and configure their party and abilities to suit each fight.

There are some goodies to unlock and DLC packs too. Purchase the game on the eShop before December 16 to get an exclusive launch weapon, the Manamune, for Yasuo. There are also three DLC packs – Skin Destroyer Variants for $4.99, Lost and Found Weapons Pack for $4.99, and the Ruination Starter Pack for $2.99, which includes a set of potions, an additional 10% gold accessory, and a trinket that awards 10% points Additional experience.
The game costs $29.99 and requires 9.9 GB of space to install.
