Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Has Peter Parker Battling Green Goblin And More | Films

It’s been a long time coming, but the day of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally arrived. And this latest look at Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and the problem he’s having right now is definitely a big deal. take a look:

While it sounds like you had to watch the previous trailer to follow this one (and if we’re being honest, Marvel knows anyone who’s watching), the new promo finds Peter facing the consequences of a failed spell to hide his identity from the world after J.J. releases Jonah Jameson (J. Returning K Simmons) gave that information and flagged our Spider-Man friendly neighborhood as the number one unfriendly public enemy.

The result is more multiverse fun in the MCU – and a host of enemies from the eras of Sam Raimi Spider-Man and Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man. Dr. Octopus from Alfred Molina once again has the most screen time, but we also see more Green Goblin from Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx as Electro, as well as Lizard and Sandman (although they are listed on IMDB, it wasn’t clear Yet whether Rhys Ifans or Thomas Haden Church is pressed into performance-capture suits or lends her vocals). That’s five so far here, and given Michael Keaton’s vulture is still around (even if he’s behind bars), it’s a bet we might see Sinister Six before the end of this movie. There is no sign yet of any of the former Spidey, but that won’t stop the speculation.

This is a darker promotion than the former, and the central concept presented here, as Peter disagrees with Dr. Strange for Benedict Cumberbatch on how to deal with these “visitors” from other universes, certainly leans toward darker material than John Watts’ previous spider-outings. Watch also: the trailer that threatens to go to Gwen Stacey on Zendaya’s MJ.

With that said, there’s room for fun – Peter, MJ and Ned (Jacob Batalon) laughing at Doc Ock’s full name and gag about “please” – and some big stakes. In addition to what happens in the end there? It looks like something other than the bad guys that dot the rest of the trailer.

Spider-Man: No Way Home lands on December 15 in the UK and December 17 in the US.
