Free game for PC, PlayStation and Xbox next year.
Multiversus, the upcoming Smash Bros-like platform fighter from Warner Bros., has finally been announced. , after appearing in several previous leaks.
The game will be free to play, and will launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in 2022. No word today about a release for the Nintendo Switch.
Cross-platform gameplay and progression have been confirmed, and developer Player First Games boasted that Multiversus will offer “best in class” network code and dedicated servers throughout the life of the game – most likely a nod to Smash Bros. ‘ The Internet experience is wobbly at times. Here’s our first official look at it in action:
Characters include Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy), Shaggy, Superman, Bugs Bunny, Harley Quinn, Tom and Jerry, Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, Arya from Game of Thrones, Stephen and Garnet from Steven Universe, and more. Original characters will also appear, such as the Reindog – a large green cross between a reindeer and a dog.
Player First Games said that additional characters, skins, and modes will be added over time.
