A 19-year-old has denied killing his younger sister at a holiday park.
Matthew Selby, of Ashton Under Lane, pleaded not guilty to the murder of his 15-year-old sister Amanda when he appeared in Crown Court via video link from HMB Berwin on Friday.
She died after police were called to reports of ‘domestic disturbances’ at Tay Mawr holiday park in Tawin, near Abergel, North Wales, on Saturday 31 July.
Selby spoke only to confirm his name and make his argument during the 10-minute hearing.

Judge Reese Rowlands adjourned the case before trial on February 28, which is set to last up to seven days.
After her death, Amanda’s family issued a statement via North Wales Police that said: “Amanda was a loving daughter and granddaughter – she was caring, thoughtful, loved to help others and loved very much. We will miss her very sadly.”

She was also praised by her school, the Druelsden Academy in Tamside.
“Our family at school has been devastated by this terrible news. Amanda was a beloved student and the students and staff will miss her greatly,” a message on her website said.
