Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen’s race will resume on the track at the Qatar Grand Prix as the Formula 1 contenders battle for first place ahead of Sunday’s race.
Red Bull and Mercedes looked relatively equal after Friday’s practice sessions, with Verstappen leading and Hamilton’s teammate Valtteri Bottas faster in second.
But the drama at the Losail International Circuit has largely centered around the ongoing feuds between the two teams, with Mercedes seeing their challenge to reopen the Verstappen investigation after an incident with Hamilton at the Brazilian Grand Prix that the race hosts rejected.
Further clashes took place between Mercedes and Red Bull as Christian Horner questioned the Silver Arrows’ rear winger, threatening an official protest.
