Audience with Adele: Emma Thompson and Emma Watson among the star crowd

dele opened her own pre-recorded ITV show “Audience with Adele” with the songs Hometown Glory and Hello to a star-studded audience.

The singer has performed songs from her new album, 30, and older tracks to A-list audiences including Dame Emma Thompson and husband Greg Wise, Years And Years star Olly Alexander and boy George at the London Palladium.

The ceremony was attended by recorder Graham Norton, actor Jodi Comer, broadcaster Kate Garaway, and actors Bryan Cranston and David Tennant. Comedians Harry Hill and Michael McIntyre and music star Andrew Lloyd Webber were among the crowd on the first list.

Adele wore a black gown studded with sparkling jewels and was supported by three singers and a band.

She said, “I was really touched when I got close to the turn there. I’m very, very nervous. Of course I am.”

She also sarcastically said that she was given a cup of chamomile tea and not “hot honey” as she requested.

Later, Adele was forced to replay her new single Easy On Me after the failed introduction.

She said out loud to her band, “Again. I’m really scared.”

The singer burst into tears when she met an old English teacher, Mrs. MacDonald, from Chestnut Grove School in Balham.

When asked by Mrs. Emma Thompson about her inspiration in her life, Adele said: ‘She left at year eight but she really made me into literature, I’ve always been a geek in English and I’m obviously now writing lyrics. But she also did street dances, I was so afraid of Entry, but like in the canteen, they used to do these dances and things like that.

“She was so cool, so cute, and she really made us care, and we knew she cared about us and things like that. She had all these gold bangles and gold rings. She was so sweet, approachable, and lovable, that I was really looking forward to the English lessons” .

Then Mrs. Emma surprised Adele by inviting Mrs. MacDonald on stage and the couple embraced. After smearing her makeup, Adele walked off the stage for a moment, asking her friend Carr to entertain the audience while she was away.

Hollywood star Jackson and Dawn French were among the celebrity guests who stood up to ask questions, the latter asking if strangers had opened up to her about their personal lives due to the emotional nature of her music.

French first who joked: “Tonight is all about you, Adele, so when are you going to write a song about me?”

The comedian continued by asking, “Your music is so connected, do you have tons of people coming to you to tell you all about their breakup and relationship issues?”

Adele responded, “Honestly, when I’m not into singing mode, which is obviously most of my life, not so much.

“But at a party or something, someone would have a drink and then come over and tell me just like on a relationship date.

“And I’m just trying to laugh.

“And sometimes if you meet my fans and things like that, especially on the last run, I like to go into the crowd and meet people and some of the stories are wild.

“They really credited me with making them or getting them fired.”

She joked, “Yeah kind of, why are you okay?”

Jackson was the next to ask the pop star if she’s ever used her stardom to get out of a ticket or in any other situations.

Adele remembered a time when she first moved to Los Angeles and was driving a rental car with very darkened windows, which she wasn’t even aware of.

“I was thinking about my own business, and then suddenly a police car pulled up behind me and hinted I needed to stop, so I just stopped where I was, and I’ve never had a stop in my life,” she added.

The singer explained that a police officer then ordered her to stop in the lane of the car she followed.

She added, “The windows were all shut like I learned before, especially when I’m being stopped in America, you never know what they’re going to do.

“I gave him my British driver’s licence, which was probably also like a cool card, he’s never seen him before, and he doesn’t look like me, he’s like me when I was 17.”

The pop star remembers that the police officer then got back into his car and got back in it while he was on the phone with his wife who was yelling at her husband for pulling the star.

“It’s like, ‘I’m so sorry, Adele,'” she said. Sorry, do what you want to do.

“That was funny. But yeah, I kind of didn’t mean to, I was ready to go to jail. But it was… well, you really saved the day.”

In response to a question from Gareth Southgate, England’s director of football, Adele told him: “I loved watching you this summer. And it was one of the best.”

Answer: Thank you for your support. We’ve seen your videos getting totally into it.”

When asked who, of all the celebrities in the room, would she like to collaborate with, Adele chose actor Daniel Kaluuya.

She said, “Obviously I’m not an actress, but I think you’re the greatest actor. I really, really do. I’m fascinated by you and your work.”

Turning to Southgate, she added: “And you, if you want to sign me as a footballer.”

As the show drew to a close, Adele tweeted, “Home Sweet Home. I’ve always dreamed of doing an audience with… There was so much love in the room for each other, it felt like a gig! Everyone was raucous and parted for it! And my teacher Mrs. MacDonald was there, she was just the Paradise “.
