Singer Jesse J had a miscarriage but told fans she would continue performing the day after she found out the news.

In an emotional Instagram post, she shared a photo of a positive pregnancy test and a quote from poet Lady Noir, and has labeled her site as “broken hearted”.

In the lengthy comment, she wrote: “Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend saying ‘Seriously though I’m going to continue working in L.A. tomorrow night without telling all the audience I’m pregnant.'”

“By yesterday afternoon, I was dreading the idea of getting through the party without falling apart…”

She said she went for the scan for the third time, only to be told she had no heartbeat.

The bang bang singer said, “I decided to have a baby on my own.

“Because that’s all I wanted and life is short. Pregnancy was a miracle in itself and an experience I’ll never forget knowing I’ll have it again.”

Jesse has previously opened up about her fertility struggles and revealed during a 2018 concert that doctors told her that at 26 she might never be able to have children.

However, she confirmed that she would continue to perform on her show in Los Angeles, and said that “her soul needs it.”

She wrote, “I started singing when I was young for joy, to fill my soul and heal self-love, which never changes and I must remedy this on my way.

“I want to be honest and honest and not hide how I feel. I deserve it. I want to be as like me as I can in this moment. Not just for the audience but for myself and my little boy who did it best.”

She added, “I know myself and I know I’m going to talk about it on stage because that’s who I am. So instead of giving an emotional, crying speech trying to explain my energy, I feel much safer.”

“I’m still in shock, the sadness is overwhelming. But I know I’m strong, and I know I’ll be fine.

“I also know that millions of women around the world have felt this pain and this is much worse. I feel connected to those of you I know and those I don’t know.
