I’m a Celebrity 2021: Richard Madley is hospitalized

I’m a celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, star Richard Madeley was rushed to the hospital during the night after falling ill.

The star attended paramedics at Castle Gwrych where the ITV series was filmed.

He was then taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

A spokesperson for I’m a Celebrity told Metro.co.uk in a statement: “Richard was ill in the early hours and was immediately seen by our on-site medical team.

“He has since been taken to hospital as a precaution, and the health and safety of our fellow campers is our priority.”

Susanna Reed, co-host of Good Morning Britain, sent her best wishes, writing on Twitter: “Sending love – hope he’s OK now. Doing a great job on #IACGMOOH and being supportive of everyone. Richard is recovering soon.”

The 65-year-old had previously looked in high spirits on the show, and was voted into the Bushtucker Trial Castle Kitchen Nightmares.

He had to find a string of stars to feed the camp in a hellish kitchen full of bugs and creatures.

To increase the difficulty, in addition to having to avoid spiders and rats, Richard also had to dive into a garbage chute filled with rotten fruits and vegetables and fish guts and untie the stars from a rope to win a meal for each campmate.

While he only managed to get four stars for camp, Richard had announcers Ant and Dec laughing the entire time with his deceptive hints.

Recently, Richard’s wife Jodi Finnegan encouraged him as well, sharing a cute family photo.

Jodi and Madeleese huddled together during the opening show for a family photo, and shared their support for Good Morning Britain’s presenter as he entered the castle.

Jodi posted a photo with her daughter Chloe, son Jack and baby Kate, smiling for the camera in a rare family photo that was circulated on social media.
