Former X Factor star Thomas Wells has died at the age of 46 after suffering an accident at his workplace.
His wife Jessica broke the news of his death, revealing that he died earlier this month while working at a tire manufacturing plant in Oklahoma.
TMZ reported that part of his body got caught in a conveyor belt type machine that couldn’t stop.
Despite being taken to a nearby hospital, and then airlifted to a larger hospital in Texas, Thomas died tragically on November 13.
Thomas appeared on the 2011 series of The X Factor, but has starred in a number of other singing talent competitions.

Among the shows he has appeared on are The Voice and America’s Got Talent.
Thomas managed to get to the training camp stage of The X Factor, during which he worked in a chicken factory.
A YouTube clip shows Thomas complimenting Rascal Flats I Won’t Leave On Set as seen by Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell.
He started getting into music for the first time at a young age, sang in church choirs and was able to teach himself to play instruments by ear.
According to US news outlets, his wife remembered him as a unique person who always had a smile on his face.
