A 4.3-magnitude earthquake rocked the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan at around 8 am Saturday, the National Seismological Administration said.

There were no reports of loss of life or damage to property so far.

According to the data, the earthquake was felt at 8:07 am at a depth of 180 kilometers.

“Quake of magnitude 4.3, occurred on 11-27-2021, 08:07:46 GMT, Latitude: 36.45, Length: 70.36, Depth: 180 km, Region: Hindu Kush, Afghanistan,” the earthquake monitoring agency wrote on Twitter.

Also yesterday an earthquake was reported in the northeastern region, including Assam and Mizoram. The quake, which was felt in many northeastern states, was centered near the border with Myanmar near Mizoram, according to data shared by the National Earthquake Administration.

The northeastern region is located in a high seismicity zone, which makes earthquakes frequent in the region.

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake shook Assam and parts of the region on April 28.
