An intruder managed to make his way into the group I’m a Celebrity…get me out of here! Earlier this week after a security breach, ITV said.

Adding to a host of show-related events, the person was removed with “immediate effect” in the days before bad weather hit North Wales.

The series was filmed at Gwrych Castle, near Abergele, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The previous 19 copies were filmed in the Australian rainforests.

The series was forced to abandon its live show on Friday as Storm Arwen battered the UK with winds of up to 98 mph.

The newspaper “The Sun” reported that the assailant evaded six security levels and approached the “contact distance” of the castle walls.

A statement from the program said: “A security breach has been identified and a hacker has been removed from the site with immediate effect. The safety of both celebrities and our production crew remains our primary concern.”

Richard Madley, the show’s contestant, departed Thursday after being hospitalized, breaking the Covid bubble in place.

The daytime TV presenter fell ill in the early hours of the morning after a “challenge” to gain food that had poop and intestines lying on it.

A day later, the ITV series aired its first pre-recorded show due to weather conditions. Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly taped their ties early in the evening as part of the “precautionary measures” put in place by the broadcaster in response to severe weather warnings.

The duo posted a video that was filmed outside the castle with winds blowing in the background.

“You probably heard we had to tap the show a little earlier tonight because of the wind here at Storm Arwen,” Donnelly said.
