I’m a Celebrity: Ant and Dec give update after eviction

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly “don’t know” when I’m a celebrity will return to the screens.

The ITV show has been on hold for two days – both Saturday and Sunday nights – after the group was badly damaged by Storm Arwen and bad weather, with fans fearing the series could be left out altogether.

And now hosts Ant and Dec seem to have fueled the rumours, as they admit they don’t even know when it will be safe again for themselves and the cast and crew of celebrities to head back to the Welsh castle.

Giving an update to fans on Instagram, they explained how the group had been damaged in the bad weather.

Ant and Dec gave fans an update on Sunday

“Hello and welcome to We’re Famous – Get In There!” Ant started, mimicking the show’s famous opening streak.

December admitted that they were “desperate to return to television” as he provided an update on the current situation.

He said, “I got an update – the site was badly damaged during a storm and they are working there around the clock trying to get it back up and running and back up to speed so we can get back on the air as fast as humanly possible.

“But we don’t know when that will be yet.”

Ant said he had his “fingers crossed” so he could take part in a brisk run of their walk in the Welsh countryside.

He added, “A little update from us we went on the coldest walk in the world today, it was so cold.”

Then the presenter joked that he was going to Ant’s for dinner tonight and asked what’s on the menu.

“More news from the kitchen! The imacelebrity team is working around the clock to get us back on your TV Messages ASAP! In the meantime, we hope you enjoy a meal better than a crunchy sandwich,” they captioned the clip.

The weather caused so many headaches for the show’s chiefs that they were forced to remove the celebs from the castle this weekend.

“While we restart the production base after experiencing technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle,” ITV said in a statement.

They confirmed that the celebrities had been sent back to the individual quarantine areas as they had done before the show to make sure the group was still safe. Conditions will remain as they were before they entered the castle.
