Former Chelsea star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbeink spoiled the performance of Blues striker Timo Werner, who failed to make an impact in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Werner had a rare opportunity to fill in the position of striker Thomas Tuchel against United after falling behind the Stamford Bridge striker.

A massive blow to the former RB Leipzig team has been left to cause a number of big mistakes
There were hopes that the £47.5m signing would create an upfront partnership with this season’s summer buyout of Romelu Lukaku, but the Germany international has become an option to support instead.
With Lukaku just back from injury, Werner had the opportunity to lead Chelsea’s attack, but he let it be outspoken instead.
The 25-year-old scored six shots in 82 minutes on the field, four of which were saved while the other two ended wide.
One of the blocks looked a definite goal, while Werner’s miss from a corner kick would keep him awake at night, with the ball falling to him perfectly in the penalty area, but he pulled it away nicely.

Werner had a tough night in attack
Hasselbeink knows exactly what it takes to score goals for Chelsea after netting 87 times in 177 matches for the Blues, and he wasn’t impressed with Werner’s efforts.
“Poor. Poor with the ball, poor without the ball,” said Werner’s Hasselbeink. “With his runs, he’s usually really sharp with his runs.
“At the end of the day, you are number nine, you will be judged based on the opportunities you get and what you do with them.
“He wasn’t good enough, he needs to score at least one of two chances, especially the second he takes with his right he has to take with his left hand and he has to score, then he starts to feel better.

Big things were expected from Lukaku and Werner’s partnership but very little was produced
“He keeps missing the big chances, the big chances, when it’s 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1, he needs to clear it.”
Instead, Chelsea had to rely on midfielder Jorginho to score goals that night, with the Italian club’s trademark penalty kick to make up for an earlier error that led to Jadon Sancho’s opener.
Jorginho had to claim the Chelsea point because his attackers failed to make any impact
Werner eventually made way for Lukaku eight minutes before play, but central defender Antonio Rudiger instead had the chance to win the match, with his powerful shot in the penalty area that ended just wide.
Fellow analyst Roy Keane agreed with Hasselbeink’s assessment of Werner, with his six shots failing to annoy David de Gea deemed unacceptable.
“It doesn’t even hit the target with some of those chances,” Kane said. “At least get the goalkeeper to block.
“Obviously we saw a big chance at the end, but for the striker, hit the target, make the keeper work.”
